Big changes in CS2 or another fail?! New season

The first season of Premier Mode in CS2 is coming to an end! Valve officially announced the start of the second season on the night from Friday to Saturday (January 25). The new installment will launch in the coming week and will bring numerous changes, including new weapon prices. What else awaits players? Has Valve finally listened to the players' complaints and will they finally try to add something fresh to the game?

Premier is finally refreshed - the most important information

Valve surprised players by announcing the end of the first season of Premier mode and the beginning of the second. The transition between seasons will not be limited only to resetting the rating (points that we accumulate during the Premier games), but will also introduce significant changes to the game mechanics.

Each player who has earned a Premier Rating will receive a commemorative Season 1 medal. This is a cosmetic addition, but for connoisseurs it is always a nice tidbit. The medal will contain detailed statistics, including CSR charts and data on individual maps. Additionally, there will be a one-day break between Premier seasons during which the ratings will be recalibrated and synchronized based on the results from the first season.

New rules and map changes in Counter-Strike 2

Once the second season begins, each player will need to win ten matches again to determine their ranking. The biggest change to the map pool will be the replacement of Vertigo with Train. This move doesn't come as a surprise as Train was added to the game last November, but Vertigo was still in the rotation. The question is whether Train will be sufficiently polished by the time it is launched. After all, not so long ago, when it was added in a refreshed version, players noticed a lot of errors. These included broken hitboxes, which made it impossible to fire accurate shots in some places.

Will FAMAS finally be OP in CS2?

One of the key novelties will be changed weapon prices. The M4A4 will become cheaper, although the exact amount has not been given - it is speculated that its price will be equal to the M4A1-S and will amount to $2,900. In addition, FAMAS will be improved in terms of accuracy both in the standing position and in the more precise position, i.e. holding CTRL, and will also become more affordable. We don't know the exact price, but it could be a really huge change. Let's not expect anything big, but if the price of Famas actually changes, e.g. from $2,050 to, say, $1,800, it could be a big game-changer. We remember how the attitude towards the Galil AR changed when its price was reduced to $1,800.

How long will the second season and the new medal last!

The second season will last shorter than the first - it is scheduled to end on June 22, along with the end of the BLAST.tv Major in Austin. Players who meet certain requirements will receive a Season 2 medal. Its color will correspond to the highest rating achieved, and the number of stripes on the medal will reflect the total number of matches won - one stripe for every 25 wins, up to a maximum of five stripes. To receive a medal, a player's account must be in good condition, have won at least 25 matches in Premier mode and be an active participant in the CSR system.

The second Premier season of CS2 promises to be exciting, and Valve seems to have really listened to players' opinions. Is it time to prepare for huge changes? Or maybe everything will work out as usual... Everything will become clear soon and we hope that the game will be refreshed to its best!

Last CS2 update this year?

Counter Strike 2 doesn't give its players much for Christmas - and players have gotten used to it. There is no Christmas content like in EAFC25. This is the tactic chosen by Valve. Yesterday, however, we received a fresh update, thanks to which users can feel the aura of Christmas changes.  Among o...
